Pilates for Runners Workshop
When: Sat 1st February 2020 (back-up date of 8th Feb)
This workshop is for runners of all levels and of all distances who wish to add strength, flexibility, mobility, endurance and longevity into their lives.
Over the 120 minutes you will be taught essential Pilates principles and exercises which have been proven to provide your muscles, tendons, joints, ligaments with the necessary support and balance required of hard training and specifically of running.
Whether you are a beginner aiming for a 5 or a 10k, or someone training for a Spring marathon, then this short introductory workshop will provide you with enough knowledge and practical exercises to seriously enhance your training.
You will be taught the basic Pilates principles and exercises which target those key running muscles and biomechanics which will show you a different and more efficient way to train and to develop an improved maintenance awareness leading to a healthier running experience and fewer injuries.
The workshop will cover:
- Core running stability
- Muscle and anatomy awareness
- Core programme
- Enhanced running and endurance
- Injury prevention
- Strength, mobility and flexibility
- Stretching routine
- Videos of exercises and stretches
The workshop space is limited to 8 people so to avoid disappointment please book as soon as possible. There is a back-up date on the 8th Feb if the 1st fills up.
