Since swapping the world of acting for a treatment room in the 1990s, Simon has qualified as a Remedial and Sports Therapist, Hypnotherapist, Cranio-Sacral Therapist, Reiki Master, Mindfulness Coach and most recently a Health Coach through the Health Coaches Academy .
Simon worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital for 15 years as part of the staff wellness programme, and as an associate leadership coach with Olivier Mythodrama Associates from 2003-2007.
Simon is an experienced marathon and ultra-marathon runner, so training tips, diet and nutrition, Pilates exercises, sports psychology mindfulness and motivation, have become a core of his treatment approach. Treat yourself as an athlete is the benchmark of his approach.
As a Sports and Remedial Therapist with over 30 years in the bag, Simon employs Remedial therapies, Sports Massage, Myofascial bodywork, K-Taping, Dry-needling, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Hypnosis and Mindfulness to facilitate healing, change and balance.
He treats Sports Injuries, any muscular and skeletal complaint, work-related postural issues, stress conditions, pre and post natal discomfort and anxiety, and issues relating to pressure, stress and anxiety.
He believes and adheres to the principle that where there is an injury, trauma or discomfort, there will be a level of dis-abling pressure present. This may be in the form of external pressures: training schedules, work pressures, money issues as well as physical or biological pressures. There are also the internal pressures: our self-talk, should, oughts and musts that lead to anxiety and stress, which influences how we treat ourselves, how we train, eat, drink and respond to experiences.
Musculo-skeletal injuries, Sports Injuries, stress related conditions or psycho-emotional issues can best be addressed and dealt with if the mind, brain and body is enabled to slow-down, to rest, as during this rest the vital and natural healing abilities of the body can function without interference or hindrance from both internal and external stresses. This is Slow-Health at its core.
His core practices involve re-educating about the body, releasing stress and pressure, promoting Slow-Health, exploring Healthy Ageing and Encouraging Adventure.
As a Health Coach Simon is committed to being a guide for people seeking to be the best versions of themselves, to making lasting health and wellness changes through diet, lifestyle and exercise.
Finally, his passion is helping others and himself to get re-aligned with our values, with what matters to us, when this happens we will know what we need to do and why we need to do it. This is the adventure bit.

What people say:
When I first I met Simon (via a recommendation from a marathon running friend) I was unable to run following a 75km run in the depths of winter. Despite XRays, an MRi scan, and visits to both a physiotherapist and an osteopath, nobody could locate the source of my problem. Within 1 session Simon had confidently identified my issue and more importantly had said “I will get you to the start line of your next race” (at this point I was about 12 weeks away from my first 100km). True to his word, I turned up on race day feeling fit and confident and got through it with no issues at all.
Simon is fantastic because he is a runner himself. He understands the physical issues, but just as importantly, the mental aspect to running, both of which need to be managed together. He is always an immensely reassuring presence and I now unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone I meet with problems. In addition to ‘magic hands’ he has shown me a range of stretches that have materially improved my flexibility, as well as introducing me to the benefits of kinesiology tape.
Would I be running today without Simon ? I doubt it.

Simon has been looking after my back for about 8 yrs now, after trying all different types of treatments and people he is the only one who keeps me upright!! The man should never be allowed to take a holiday.
Simon Heale has the rare ability to bring his deep knowledge of the human body with the strength and energy of a competitive and gifted runner to offer a unique massage, which reinvigorates, heals tired or aching muscles and leaves one feeling a new person.
I have been one of Simon’s therapeutic massage clients for nearly a year and he excels at pinpointing and treating the areas that require attention. Being an arthritis sufferer following accidental injury he soothes the pain with his deep tissue massage so that the need for pain killers is eliminated. He’s also a great listener and perks you up with positive encouragement. I highly recommend him and rely on his fortnightly maintenance treatment to minimize, otherwise very nasty symptoms.
The health coaching process has been eye opening and really rewarding. A huge benefit has been my energy levels, I feel I have SO much more energy, I feel more productive, I feel more aware. Simon has generously held space for me to discover the things I really enjoy doing and be a part of things that I haven’t felt in touch with for years, so this has been a real joy! I feel I have a long way to go, of course, but I feel more accepting of some of the challenges I face and I have tools I can use to really move forward in my life, it’s been wonderful. Thank you.
“Simon’s approach to coaching has provided perfect balance between supporting me to discover my own insight around health, wellbeing, priorities and actions, whilst providing appropriate intervention, expertise and knowledge when I was stuck.
I instinctively trusted his knowledge around the critical health themes we’ve been working through, and benefited from his natural ability to empathise, connect and push, in equal measure.
Simon has supported me to achieve something nobody else has managed in 54 years – understand the importance of good health, alongside enabling me to activate changes to my relationship with food. This is having an immediate and transformational impact in my energy levels and physical well-being.
I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Simon to others looking to shift their approach to health and well-being. ”

“I think everyone would benefit from this health coaching. They say “knowledge is power” and I think that nothing is explained to us about food and healthy choices. Most people remain fairly ignorant, drawn in by the food industry and unhealthy supermarket shelves and their subtle persuasions. We are brain washed to choose mostly unhealthy products which stare out at us from strategically filled supermarket shelves.
I think diabetics, pre diabetics and people wishing to lose weight would benefit from this course. It is truly life changing. However I would recommend it to everyone for the nutritional knowledge it provides and the amazing success it can bring. We all need help with living a healthy life, choosing healthy options, exercising self motivation and using solid working information about how food effects our moods and our health. I am most grateful to Simon for coaching me on this course. I am certain it has launched me onto a sound and consistent goal of healthy eating, regular exercising and healthy life.”
“Simon is a fantastic coach, he is super supportive and provides a safe and non-judgemental space to be able to open up about your eating habits and what you would like to achieve from the programme.
Simon also has the ability to make even the smallest achievement feel important. Simon kept me centred and focused on healthy wins, with just the right amount of encouragement to keep my momentum going”

I had back surgery 10 years ago (a mistake) and currently work long days in the City, frequently flying and rarely looking after myself properly. My back frequently flares up and I have seen 100s of physios, osteos, chiropractors, surgeons, etc. over the years to find a solution / help manage my back. Nobody from any of these disciplines matches Simon’s extra sensory understanding of the back, body and mind. I would recommend him to anyone and frequently do to friends, colleagues and clients. I work in an incredibly demanding industry which makes me pretty fussy, for thers who also seek out extremely high quality service, I happily recommend Mr Simon Heale.
