Simon Heale
Swapping the world of acting for a treatment room has opened Simon's life up to a veritable feast of pathways and experiences. Since wiping off the 'slap' for the last time in 1996 he has qualified as a Remedial and Sports Massage therapist, Hypnotherapist, Sports Hypnotherapist, Cranio-Sacral Therapist and is also a Reiki Master.
Simon worked as part of the original Holmes Place treatment suite in Chelsea before setting up in private practice. In 2006 he established Corehealth, the clinic in Crouch End with his wife Lorraine and in 2008 became co-director of Chelsea Natural Health Clinic where he practices two days a week. He works extensively in the sport, leisure and fitness industries, film and theatre and corporate sector, providing treatments, coaching, stress and self -management services, running and sport psychology workshops and most recently provided his relaxation and sleep audio for in-flight services on Lufthansa and Cathay Pacific long-haul.
Remedial (deep tissue) Massage, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Reiki and Hypnosis, are the modalities Simon employs to facilitate healing, change and balance. He believes and adheres to the principle that where there is a need for change and healing, this will be served better if the 'whole' of the person is able to relax deeply. Musculo-skeletal injuries, stress related conditions or psycho-emotional issues can best be addressed and dealt with if the brain and mind is allowed to rest, as during this rest the vital and natural healing abilities of the body can function without interference or hindrance from both internal and external stresses.
He defines his practice principles simply, to allow the body, mind and spirit to do what it does best, without interference.
As an experienced but not exceptionally fast, ("OK 3.28 is my best"), marathon runner, issues of fitness, diet, nutrition, sports injuries and motivation, have become a core of Simons treatment approach. Having recently completed his first ultra-marathon in South Africa, his focus is increasingly tending towards treating running and exercise related injuries and working with various runners issues. He recently qualified in Sports Hypnosis and already treats a wide variety of sports and exercise related psychological issues.
Simon also teaches Usui Reiki courses at all levels from 1 to 3, including Master Training. He is registered with the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists, and is a member of the London and Counties Society of Physiologists.
